The Belgian Inline Hockey Association Proudly Launches the 2025–2026 Season

The Belgian Inline Hockey Association can proudly celebrate the official launch of the 2025–2026 season, which kicked off this past weekend with a vibrant showcase of youth and community spirit.

More than a dozen U10 and U12 games marked the beginning of this new chapter, giving countless young players the joy of returning to the rink and discovering the thrill of competition once again. Hosted at the brand-new facilities of the Lords of the Citadel, this youth-focused tournament highlighted the importance of developing the game at its very roots.

Starting the season with a tournament dedicated entirely to our youngest players underlines how essential youth development is to the future of Belgian inline hockey. The event also served as a platform for younger, less experienced referees, offering them the opportunity to take charge of their very first games—a clear sign that the Association’s commitment extends beyond players to every pillar of the sport.

At the same time, Beaumont played host to the annual Chaps Trophy, traditionally the final preseason tournament. The weekend offered a fantastic spectacle, with the Rhinos of Tourcoing claiming victory in the Silver category and the Phoenix triumphing once again in the Gold category. With this second consecutive win in the top category, the Phoenix proudly retain their crown.

To top it off, fans were treated to an entertaining exhibition match that pitted a team of referees against a selection of all-stars from other groups, adding a touch of fun and camaraderie to the occasion.

With these events, it is now official: the Belgian Inline Hockey Association is proud to declare the 2025–2026 season open!

We look forward to seeing players, coaches, referees, and fans return to the rinks across the country for what promises to be an exciting and memorable season. Together, we continue to grow the game, strengthen our community, and share the passion for inline hockey.
